Visiones Nocturnales/ Nocturnal Visions: I am basically a painter of a realist tradition who begun to experiment with modern elements back in 1974 and later in 1986 with the digital media as an optional tool to the creative process. This is a recollection of a number of my paintings of Apocalyptical landscapes. I create my images the traditional way, drawing and painting meticulous images, which I turn digital and enhance them using a number of softwares such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Painters and others. The digital media allows me to enhance and even change color value and even make changes by adding other elements to the composition. The digital media gives flexibility, for the possibilities are endless. In 1986 I begun to do digital drawings on a McDraw and Mc Paint softwares using a mouse as a drawing tool, later by 1998 I became familiar with Photoshop and the first images I begun to work, (instead of photographs like the media originally was made for), I scanned and photographed my paintings and drawings which was the base of my creative vision. In this video I mixed the sound of two musical compositions: the Beethoven 5th Symphony and the sound track of the movie: The Day the Earth Stood Still. My original works are available to serious collectors and gallery owners. conesamiguel@yahoo.com
