Myths, fables, fairy tales and legends…At one time so many childhoods were leant shape and color by words from such books, books which created worlds. In “Snow Prince” Stephen Mead shares both his love of literature and art by re-creating personal experience into a more Classical sort of narrative. With the flipping of pages, as if through an enchanted scrapbook, memories are strummed up through snatches of song and wind. The narrator is on both an interior and exterior spiritual journey. In a time of global uncertainty it is important if books still have the capacity to be like friends to the reader, to invite time in for the stillness of a particular clarity and rich contemplation.
