The Leadership Series: Molding a Leader

Breakthrough Ideas for January 2015

○ ○ ○To be worth anything, Character must be capable of

Standing firm upon its feet in the world of

Daily work, temptation and trial.

SAMUEL SMILES

○ ○ ○

When God wants to drill a man,
And thrill a man, And skill a man,
When God wants to mold a man

To play the noblest part;

When He yearns with all His heart

To create so great and bold a man
That all the world shall be amazed,
Watch His methods, watch His ways!

How He ruthlessly perfects
Whom He royally elects!

How He hammers him and hurts him,
And with mighty blows converts him.

Into trial shapes of clay

Which only God understands;
While his tortured heart is crying
And he lifts beseeching hands!

How He bends but never breaks
When his good He undertakes;

How He uses whom He chooses;

And with every purpose fuses him;
By every act induces him

To try His splendor out—
God knows what He’s about!

Rest in Peace

○ ○ ○May you awaken to the mystery of  being  here and enter the quiet immensity of

your own presence.  May you have  joy and peace in the temple of your senses.

May you receive great  encouragement when new frontiers beckon.  May you

respond to the call of your gift and find the courage to follow its path. May

the flame of anger free you from falsity. May warmth of heart keep your

presence  aflame  and  may anxiety never linger about you.  May

your outer dignity mirror an inner dignity of soul.  May

you take time to celebrate the quiet miracles that

seek no attention. May you be consoled in the

secret symmetry of your soul. May you

experience each day as a sacred

gift woven around the

heart of wonder.
