State of No-Nonsense

FIRST PUBLISHED IN 2013A few hours ago, I completed a course and certificate, with other candidates. All running by

by the clock.  All going somewhere with their lives.  All individually sowing the seeds for a

better & more successful future. Irrespective of age group, you'll never find even a junior

high schooler for example let alone a college student/everyman, walk in, drop off their

bag & wander off. With a lover; to daydream, as in China. Or find patrons sleeping in

these libraries. Chances are,  the 7, 9, 14 or 17-year-old you're looking at, is there

to be quietly tutored. And if you stick around long enough or frequent the place

enough, you might find that same kid, young adult/adult has different tutors

for different subjects.  Everybody you meet, unless he's up to no good is

is either in some kind of line, keeps a steady schedule, or most likely

is time-conscious; operating within a legal system that allows none

to cut corners. And that's the beauty of New York State. At the

time of writing for instance, I'm booked, literally every day,

through March 4, 2014. Every business day, there is some

place I must report to as part of a phase; some task to

perform (e.g., an important test), some entity or a

person to meet — all part of a fully transparent &

legal process, that brings the determined one

step(s) closer on the arduous way to great

heights. Robert Heinlein rightly said, “In

the  absence of clearly-defined goals”,

people  become enslaved by habit-

forming daily trivia. And in Part 1

of this blog, we discussed “the

great secret of success”. So

the question then is: Does

your current daily trivia

promise to bring you

closer  to realizing

your dreams? Or

you'd feel lost

in the State

of No-Non
