▼Practical Security Series: DNS Changer Malware/Virus▼
BELOW IS WHAT YOU'LL SEE, IF YOUR COMPUTER IS OK. PROCEED TO VIDEO.
Your computer may be already protected but security isn't about taking chances.
So, keeping it extremely simple, prevent your PC or Mac from losing internet
access on Monday July 9, 2012 by clicking the hyperlinked image above to
check if you're OK. It's green for a reason. If your PC is not OK, you'll see
red. Now as confirmed by the news report/video at the bottom of this
page, there's no scanning or software download involved. No changes
will be applied to your computer. And I, as a professional security
researcher have no interest in scamming you. In fact, this blog,
to be clear, is not for you. The blog itself is designed as a DIY
tool primarily to help loved ones perform what the author
needn't, or is unable physically, to visit and to perform.
If you do see red, don't panic. Instructions will follow
to walk you through a manual fix. Alternatively, I
recommend making use of the DCWG website
hyperlinked directly below. There you'll find
a tool to detect and fix your PC or Mac if
it's been infected with the DNSChanger
malware, —as well as additional info.
Be safe. More at the DNS Changer
Working Group's (DCWG) site. (Follow the Dove)
