so... walking to 14th st. from work down in the bowels of soho - enjoying the late spring/early summer days - I decided to pop in and look around at the virgin mega store. i figured that i was somewhat safe since the last two times i went there, i left with nada. the last fiasco being when i went to pick up the 2 the knife cd's i didn't have... they wanted approx. 30 dollars per cd. i scoffed and left fuming. it's like you are punished for liking music... they really make it hard for one to continue being an honest consumer... but that is for another discussion. so i go in today, the place is swarming with tourists and nothing caught my eye so i wander deeper in... and then the insanity began, everything i heard i needed (think verca salt in willy wanka (the original). i think that if i had heard the muppets cover 50 cent and g-unit or julio iglesias sings metallica i would have bought it... the damage was swift and delightful... dear spaghetti god... why does more in debilitating excess always feel so much better than just a little excess...

and so the damage...

1. the chicas project-compilation cd
2. bjork-volta
3. shiny toy guns-we are pilots
4. james morrison-undiscovered
5. the good, the bad and the queen-damon alban, tony allen, et al

this should hold me for 2 weeks or so...

but nothing tops the lady wood that i get from the knife, at least nothing yet...
