In the last month i packed up my truck with my art work, supplies and a few clothes and drove from High up in The Rocky Mountains of Colorado- Vail- where id been living for the past few years... and drove to NYC. i'm no stranger to this place... ive been visiting ever since i can remember, and being a native Londoner -am no small town country boy either. ive just been spending some time over the last decade exploring the outer regions of my pysche in the high deserts of NM and in the peaks of CO. its been good to get the concrete out of my bones. But now im back and this humidity is intense, the sounds immense and the overall sense - fantastic. Ive managed to get acouple of my latest work up on the wall At Broadfoot & Broadfoot Gallery- 62 Greene st, soho- which feels like a small coup and bigger and better things are surely to happen. I feel gung ho, ready to make an impression in NY, the center of the ART WORLD. i know im worth it... and surely if anyone can , i can. is that not the attitude required? its ataking alittle time... but soon i hope to have a studio and life... You know its wild... my mother is a native new Yorker- a total manhattanite- and ive been in the city since i was a nipper... bbut i dont know brooklyn at all!! and i want to am ready for you. hope you are ready for me too! Gowanus, park slope, carroll gardens, williamsburg- i know your names, but i dont know your nature- i'm planning to explore over the next two weeks.. if anyone out ther wants shed a little light, show me some hidden places.. it'd be a treat! its all about networking, right?! lets do it!
