Ninjalist has Moved Back to Blogger-LoftNinja Smiles

So you have it. Loftninja moved his Ninjalist back to Blogger, after getting fed up with advanced templates in Typepad (see old Ninjalist here and previous blogger Ninjalist here). I think you guys will like the new design much better. Also, you can keep up with LoftNinja's… Continue

Red Carpet Massacre

I adore these types of stormy, damp, cold and misty days. They seem to make me feel exhilarated. Maybe it is an aversion to all the blue skies and sun from growing up in PR. Or maybe it is my enamourment of jolly ‘ole England. Who knows?

...So I decided to take a walk around where I work so that I can think and clear my mind. I am currently working on designing some new covers for a book series and have a touch of ‘designers erectile dysfunction’.

The soundtrack for the walk… Continue

et violà! walking in slow motion

So it’s official. I suck as a consumer. I was supposed to get up at the crack of dawn to snag all of these “specials” instead I stood up until 5 am listening to music and fixing my iPod. You will all be happy to know that my previously diseased iPod has been resuscitated by me! I have just about had it with Apple... My laptop died about 8 months ago. This laptop was synced with my iPod. So when my iPod died 2 months… Continue

Video show for my baby brother

Amito... this selection of videos is for you to check out the music that I listen to. I know that I seemed weird about your music question. It just is a little difficult to tell you the music that I actually listen to since I know most of it doesn't play in PR, since it doesn't play on the radio over here. I listen to a HUGE amount of music from all around the world. These are just a sample of songs, some of the videos can suck, others are pretty interesting and good. I hope that you enjoy the music tour. Let me know what you think. I can't wait to see you in March/April... I LOVE AND ADORE YOU!…

recognition of risky thinking and you're invited to the show...

i recently submitted some abstract works to an open call for artists here in los angeles. i'm kind of picky about who and what i submit art to -but this show was different.

it was being judged by someone quite special. howard fox. the curator of contemporary art at LACMA.

the creation of new original art is hard because so many artists have already experimented with so much already. all sorts of examples are on display in museums all over the world.

the only way to do something… Continue

Obtuse Nena

I am pulling apart again. I'm trying to glue the hairline fractures with music and words. I think that the books I am currently immersed in are bearing to much weight on the delicate fragility and the glass is crackling beneath the pressure. It's all a chain reaction of push and release– a cavalcade tsunami. It's funny. I am stronger than ever on this point, I can talk about it, I can think about it, I can even smile when I say her name... but she still floors me. On top of this my muses are… Continue

January comes knocking

Last night I had another one of those lucid dreams. In it I saw someone who I have grown distant from and the minute I saw them my heart reeled with ache and longing. I asked, how do you stand it? They replied, I remember every conversation, every hug, everything you. I woke up with my pulse thuding in the dark.

I can feel it coming...
