Selling Some Art

I'm cleaning out my room and trying to work on my financial situation, so the result is I'm selling some of my older art for a price lower than what I would normally.

Check it out <a href="http://curiouszoology.com/sale.html">here</a>!

All work and no play

I've not been painting lately because I've volunteered to Chair the committee to handle all the local organizing for a scientific conference called Virtual Observatories in Geosciences (www.voig.net). Even though there are 6 committee members, I'm doing 75% of the work. One of the other committee members is an extreme pleasure to work with, she is very sharp and responsive. The conference is now less than 2 weeks away and the pressure's on. Next time I vounteer for something like this, I'll… Continue

Porch Magazine

When I was a softmore at Ringling School of Art and Design I had a graphic design teacher that asked me if I thought graduating with a design degree was what I wanted, rather than getting a fine art degree. I was immediately offended, being the immature student that I was at that time. My reaction was rather interesting and Porch Magazine was born. For five years, I ran a monthly publication in my town that reached all over the state of Florida, parts of Brooklyn, NY, San Diego, CA. and other… Continue

I'm all about fingerpainting right now, which seems childish, but the kind of control you can get with your fingers is amazing, but you have to contend with the bluntness of fingertips. So you can't do fine like work, but that's what silk screening and pens are for. I'll upload an example of this later.

Finally Working

This site is finally working for me. I was having so much trouble with it the other day trying to approve friend requests and customizing, so I ran away from it, but I came back today and finished it up. I'm sure I'll be messing with it even more in the future, but I'm content with it for now.

long ago long ago

the knife chases me running away

i chase the knife running away

long ago long ago

the stars falling on my head

burning my hand, my senses all dead

though i looked and wished

it helped me. not the sky but the bugs

the stairs go round and round

and i said to myself "let me go sideways,

let me go side ways"
