All the time
What do you want people to know most about you?
Through observing the piece reveals a more direct and less restrained conduit to maneuver unconsciousness. The approach is universal, yet-a certain sense of individual authorization must be present. We all can do it to some degree, although most of the time we are unaware of what we are doing. Freedom of expression does not only permit an artist to dig out, the viewer must freefall into the experience to access liberty beyond frontier to also apprehend the involvement. Yes, it is unambiguous. Art is an obvious one to one invitation to participation. By the virtues hidden in freedom of creation an art piece is not subjected to a viewer point of view to exist. Moreover any interaction missed upon renders the artist blameless. The cycle is complete if a viewer combines forces with the artist, but the end result is not necessary to validate creation. We also must agree that one can’t combine what is not at hand.
The solo process now a painting tapping in one’s unconscious provokes another singly process in a watcher. Unless the observer clears off the conscious of all preconceptions in order to be influenced by what is nothing productive will occur. What now is exposed is a genuine offer from within. Any observer willing to let self go, abandoning all into the hands of the artist becomes more receptive which in turn enables the art work to take you the witness wherever it wants. The collaboration falls short often given that humans are too concerned with pattern seeking and pattern creating.
Richy Roosa’s tapping into the untamed and unreasonable forces gives life and definition to what it means to be human. His art personifies the territory however deviating from the norm. His art is very much at ease where he dwells. Location does not make an artist, creating does. Location does not portray the creator. His art does. Freedom of spirit has a cost. Being responsible for self is the exchange. Art is encompassing however singular the act of creating. I doubt that this particular Dominican artist is that familiar with Tad Bonieki, yet in his obvious multidimensional gathering exhibited online exhibit, I could not help think that Richy Roosa has crashed through territorial obstacles in producing pieces ahead of his time. Well versed in the language of freedom through the art of expression. His art pieces speak loud and clear. I am grateful for the opportunity not only to enjoy the visual conversation with Richy Roosa at a distance, but-sharing the dialogue with others is as important.
