BAMart at the Brooklyn Academy of Music is a program that provides numerous ways for Brooklyn-based visual artists to become involved. From participating in our rotating, spring exhibitions in the Natman Room (last year featuring works from Pratt Institute photography students as well as drawings from the flat files at the Kentler International Drawing Space in Red Hook), to donating works to our annual Silent Art Auction, to being curated into Next Wave Art, a yearly, 3-month exhibition of new works by local artists which encompasses the entire institution, BAM hopes to continue to present the some of the most exciting and innovative visual art in Brooklyn.

Please visit often to see updated exhibition and opening celebration information, upcoming events, calls for proposals, and other ways to become involved.

Please direct any inquiries to BAMart@BAM.org

Dear Mr. Harper:

First off happy birthday! Secondly I checked out BAM's website but couldn't find any information about artist opportunities. I am a Brooklyn-based artist and writer and would appreciate it very much if you could tell me how emerging artists might involve themselves with BAM.
