How often are you the first among your friends to try something new?
Very often
What do you want people to know most about you?
Spray paint, acrylics, sandpaper, printmaking, as well as adding great pictures at times to the mix. The process in making a piece of art for me entails, paint, layer, sand, paint, layer, sand to get the foundation I need to begin. I refer to the style of art that has found me as urban pop art.
I love to create! It is inspiring, therapeutic and a way to communicate thoughts that have no words.
As long as I can remember, I have been drawing and creating. Each aspect of my art tells a story - from the colors, to the marks, to the medium(s) I choose to use and my emotions that pour out with every second spent on a piece.
I am inspired by the music I listen to, movies, the people I meet, and the things that are around me, as well as past and present struggles and breakthroughs in my own life.
I am inspired by other artists such as Bankse, Warhol, Basquiat, Ad Reinhardt, and Judith Supine to name a few.
Through my art, I am hopeful that people who are able to experience it with me, can take away something positive - whether it’s a simple smile, inspiration, encouragement or hope. There is so much stress and so many struggles in our society. To help people break away from that, if even for a second, is the more valuable to me than anything else I could ever obtain through creating.
