NYFA's mission is to empower artists at critical stages in their creative lives. NYFA functions as an advocate and catalyst for the creative arts, emphasizing the individual artist and the organizations that serve them and giving artists the freedom to create and develop. NYFA's core programs include an artists' fellowship, fiscal sponsorship, strategic opportunity stipends, BUILD (Building Up Infrastructure Levels for Dance), NYFA Source, NYFA Current, NYFA Learning, and statewide outreach.
