Neal, Welcome to Brooklyn Art Project.

I am a stand-up comic and since I joined this network, I have found that this is a great site to share your Art, post your Blogs, upload clips, photos, joining Groups and Forums. I hope you enjoy Brooklyn Art Project as much as I do. The best way to keep up with my daily high jinkery is on Twitter, my user name is: http://twitter.com/JaneyGodley

Best wishes from Janey Godley & Team!

Hello Neal,
As fellow a Brooklyn artist, I want to share Brooklyn’s greatest public artwork.
Why it is unknown is a mystery. Nobody knows it exists.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d2/Arch_and_EmpireSB_-_Grand_Army_Plaza_Brooklyn.jpg
The Tower of the Empire State Building bisects the Arch in Brooklyn’s Grand Army Plaza.
Calvert Vaux and Frederick Law Olmsted planned the framework of this historic and continuing work-in-progress as the Civil War ended (25 years before the Arch, 65 years before the Tower, 105 years before the Mirador, and 145 years before I stumbled across it).

I am eliciting ideas on how to raise public awareness to protect and promote this View as an “historic visual corridor.” Building Six of Atlantic Yards threatens to eclipse the view. If you like the view, you will love the story of how and why, the reason it exists.
Please forward to artists and civilians, Richard
