How often are you the first among your friends to try something new?
What do you want people to know most about you?
red oceans in plastic garbage and wrecked bodies of birds' guts cut in shards of man-made material - whales beach themselves to escape piercing hellish ultra sound waves - sea-life drowns in miles of fish lines -we are the killers - watch the mirror - my "book of blues" - melting sky
Have you seen Brooklyn’s grandest example of Public Artwork? It was built on a framework designed by our fellow artists, Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux. They felt that social reform could be achieved through art. Nobody is aware it exists. Development may eclipse it.
Protecting and promoting this work-in-progress, begun before the Civil War ended, is now up to today’s artists. We can raise public awareness and save this massive and unknown Public Artwork. If you can, forward the links to artists, politicos, media and civilians – Thanks - Richard
