What do you want people to know most about you?
Morgan Jesse Lappin hails from Brooklyn, he is a musician, an artist, and a living cartoon character.

"Morgan Jesse Lappin is a collector of the unusual, the sensual, and anything "magical". Sometimes you can hear Morgan from miles away, pounding at his drums like a wild tribe's man. Morgan was kidnapped by a religious fanatic and survived, he can do 30 jumping jacks faster than any 7 year old in the world, yet he makes sure his room is vacuumed at least 4 times a day. Pro Russian Dancer, he travels the earth within his own mind, leaving bits and pieces of himself where ever he goes. " - Antonio Slamata (Alter ego of Morgan Jesse Lappin)

When making collage pieces the images I use come from old encyclopedias, and other vintage publications. I use nothing more than a physical cut and paste/tape method with all of my work. All works are puzzles that never existed. The works allow its audience to be transported to different realities while introducing mysterious and colorful characters along the way.

I have three styles of work I produce:

Groupage works: For these works I group images together to create one central idea. I don't use a backdrop for these collage works, I link all clippings with tape, the work constantly evolves with no clear end point until it clicks inside my mind.

Character Work: These pieces place characters in a variety of different environments... they tell stories yet are open to different interpretations allowing the viewer to create their own world, their own story...

Perversions: These works are perverted, disturbing, dirty, deviant, and beautiful.

Love the combinations. Mixing different objects successfully is a real fun practice but requires a great imagination. You have that. Well done.
