How often are you the first among your friends to try something new?
Very often
What do you want people to know most about you?
My work is inspired by nature, patterns and intricate complexities. Although, I find deconstruction and decaying as remarkable resources. There is an unusual kind of beauty in them and I tend to portray that with the colors and broken up compositions that weave in and out of each other. I incorporate a variety of different mediums to evoke the translucency of the tangled layers while bringing the illusion of the texture to the surface. By creating my own printmaking blocks, my goal is to achieve authenticity in my work. Textile inspirations play a big role in my art pieces. When all of the components add up and unify, they create a pool of intensity which translates the chaotic beauty that goes on in my creative process.
Photography depicts the complexities of my everyday life. Some pictures are more difficult to express then others but nevertheless, I find that through this medium my inner feelings that get hidden from peoples' eyes on day to day basis, come out through photography. In a way it's subconscious and only after the print is made I get a glimpse into something more deeper than I really thought it was. Other times it's controlled but still unexpected, because new meanings and resolutions to my frustrations or hardships are realized.
