- I am a cartoonist illustrator artist born and raised in Queens NY. I attended the High school of Art and Design in NYC and then The School of Visual Arts where I graduated with a BFA in Illustration.
I am a type 1 diabetic since 1996. I test my blood sugar, I give myself insulin, I am on my second trail run with the insulin pump, currently unhappy with it.
I get a lot of inspiration from cult film, horror movies, and comic books. I draw comics, cartoons, celebrity portraits, burlesque ladies, and I play the banjo.
"Tim Warner: A life in the clouds" (2004) - Is a short film that I co-wrote, art directed and starred in, it is one of the things I am most proud of in my life. It is mockumentary about a fictional cartoonist named TIM WARNER (modeled after Jim Davis and other generic sunny comic strip artists). He draws "THE SILVER LINING" the most popular comic strip in America. The chronicles the highs and lows of his illustrious career culminating in an epic comic strip battle/rooftop brawl between him and his rival Lance Gold (The creator of 'sitting ducks' a cynical political comic strip).
Also starring: Dave fox, Matt Koff, Emily Felger, and Sam Brown (WKUK), Directed, music, co-written by Jordan Cooper.
Based on this film I draw the comic strip: SILVER HELL which chronicles Tim Warner's famed mental breakdown. Think Ziggy meets the Shining. silverhell.com
