The art world has evolved to such
where 99% of it is business and 1% of it art. In this atmosphere,
everything is becoming increasingly dry and corporate.
Speed, power structures, neoliberalism, greed, and the desire for fame
all contribute to a severe bottleneck at the doorsteps of art institutions.
Thus, in an attempt to stick out, artists resort to extreme measures
sometimes manifesting in instances of coprophilia or self-mutilation
though normally artwork of a frustrated, cynical, or ironic type.
With the quality of art in decline this has allowed words
to usurp the art object.
Words then become a dialectic which imparts the illusion of activity.
And around this illusory activity is the art world constructed.
