- Born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, (former USSR), in 1975 Dmitry Gubin came to New York in 1989.
He received much of his art training during the studies at LaGuardia H.S. of Music and Art and Performing Arts from 1991 to 1994.
In 1995 Dmitry enrolled into the photography program at the School of Visual Arts, receiving his BFA in 2000.
He has been involved in various national exhibitions including at the New Jersey Center For Visual Arts, Perkins Gallery in Stoughton, MA, and The Museum Of Contemporary Russian Art In Exile in Jersey City, NJ, Williamsburg Art and Historical Center in Brooklyn, NY.
Dmitry currently lives and creates in Bedford–Stuyvetsant area of Brooklyn.
