Hell'o
I have heard so much good stuff about you guys. I live in Brooklyn and manage Freddy's Bar in Prospect heights, and am the video artist that shows 24/7 @ Freddy's, and have twice been listed in the Village Voices Best Of for Video. Just wondering if you all are interested in exhibiting Video?

Hello Brooklyn!

I'll be on Pier 36 on September 13. I may have to miss the Howl Festival but please make some coffee! I am going to be right across the river and am making my travel plans to see the Artists Gym! Where is it from 55 Hanson Place? Fulton Square? The library? Bond Street? This is the only area of Brooklyn that I am familiar with. I used to take the F train back and forth.
I am hoping to stay in the city over night so I won't have to rush.

Respects,
Brian

Hello Brooklyn!
I'm really interested in participating in the September Landscape show. Would you please keep me informed with all information. Thanks so much! It would work out because I'll be visiting at the beginning of September.
Total Respects,
Brian

Hi Dana! I am enthusiastic when Art is happening. I never knew I was actually making Art until my employer saw me working on the job. H einvited me over to his house and asked me to bring what Art I had. I called some friends who bought some off me while I was really struggling and they brought it to me. Tom was amazed and said that the work was amazing and encouraged me to save each new drawing. I never thought much about it and remembered that I throew out a couple of crates full and burned a lot of it because it created heartache and misuderstandings. It's what led me to become homeless in New York City. As I began to grow away from society, I accepted the fact that people will come and go in my life and Art is what really melted the time and let me evaporate into a different place. I still didn't think it was good...it kept me busy. I got screwed more than anything. Never really bitter or arrogant about it. I've seen those types and saw their success, but my work was able to reach the strugglers and the working class. It's where I came from and that's who I am today. I am hoping with all of my desire to make it to the Howl Festival this year! I had a great time there last September and was hoping to vend this year but with the high prices of survival imposed upon my dream, but I can swing a bus ticket! I made a couple of friends in the city over the years and they want me to come back and visit for sure. I would really enjoy visiting with the GYM and to say Hello in person! As far as entering the show, one of those skyline pictures does not belong to me anymore. My friend bought it off of me when I came back from New York City in 2001. If he'd let me enter the actual piece, you or a judge might be able to convince him. He paid $60.00 for the drawing and he knows that I could get more out of it and thinks I would sell it from under him. My boss had to go over to his house and take a picture of it because he didn't trust me. Not exactly a close friend. A better one would have paid more for it.
I enjoy looking at ererybody else's Art. I'm glad I was turned on this site! I feel like I'm not on another planet by myself. Thank you. I will plan to see you in September.
Respects,
Brian

So does this place require more than talent or does the gift speak volumes? Any membership required like an Art Rep or an Agent? Like trying to get a show? or a job?
Respects,
Brian
