I just did a search on Flickr to find groups exclusively for black and white photography. Here's a link to what I found: http://www.flickr.com/search/groups/?w=all&q=black+and+white+
Perhaps you might want to see what kind of cameras are used to create some of these black and white photographs. :)
I hope that black and white photography derived from 35mm cameras has a long and happy life!!!
