I've been working on a new art series called 'Smile Now Die Later'. I'm tackling the balance between too much and too little in various aspect. This series explores the hero and villain dynamic, and touched on social absurdity, aspirations, failed attempts varied perspectives. It's creep, sad happy and fun at the same time.
Why clowns? well they are suppose to make us happy, but many are not happy when they see a clown. I know why folks hate clowns, The movie 'It' has some to do with the wide spread coulrophobia, but I think it's just unsettling to communicate with a masked creature. Painted emotions are deceiving, and who enjoys knowingly being deceived? This series explores some of the masked buffoonery, both figuratively and literally.
