Clive:

You sell yourself short! We all have our strengths and weaknesses. I would just say for now to think a bit about what the process of making this painting was all about & also to consider what you like about the end product. There is a lot of richness to it. Do some others with these things in mind. I believe you are really on to something with this one.

A lot of things are in the works on this end. I'm putting together a show of abstract painting next year. If you can do a few more strongly related to this one (without just copying that one particular painting of course), I'd like to have you participate in this U.S. show. I've got some strong painters already on board. But if this opportunity doesn't work out, don't be discouraged. We may be able to do something along the high tech low tech painting theme discussed earlier.

But really I think this new abstract painting is among the most mysterious of works I've seen from you. I hope you can continue & enjoy working this way. This is a painting I would be excited about having included in my next group project.

Keep up the great work! You (like most artists) underestimate the depths of your talent.

Thanks Destry. Yes it started very undisciplined, but as I applied each layer, it became more structured and began to align itself horizontally.Since moving out of Landscape 'shell', you might have noticed I'm all 'over' the place, trying to find a 'home' and style in abstract. Not only because New Zealand Scenery takes too long and doesn't sell as quick, but a need to diversify. Please feel free to be my Abstract art critic, as you have alot more experience Destry! Thanks again my friend.

Very nice Clive! It has a nice balance between a loose playful feel to it and more serious academic painterly concerns. This looks like something fairly different from other series? I think it has a lot of potential!
