The future, which has passed

paper, watercolour, mixed media, 100x70, 2007

,,Moreover, the modulated light which bathes the works of Karen Alekian, lights everything in the same way. All these paintings talk about human activity, shops, trams, stores, but at same time all seems empty; they are carried by a pallet of deafened and moderated tones dominated by greys, whites and some touches of red or green, the blue of the panels seem to indicate a way to be cleared through this new contemporary reality of Armenia,,.
Alain Navarra-Navassartian, art historian

This project was presented in Yerevan, Armenia and in Zurich, Switzerland.
