Glitch Generation is a group exhibition of artworks rooted in mistakes, either intentional or found, including "glitches" in the wiring of our brains. Some participating artists have created a unique environment to produce a malfunction in an otherwise stable system, while others have happened upon a glitch by chance. The exhibition also includes a Music/Performance on April 1 and a Video Screening on May 6.

Horsing Around the Arrows of Time

The Dumbo Improvement District, in partnership with the New York City Department of Transportation's (DOT) Urban Art Program, installed the work of DUMBO resident and artist Eleanora Kupencow, entitled "Horsing Around the Arrows of Time," in the Pearl Street Triangle. Adjacent to the Manhattan Bridge and DOT's iron shop and fabricated out of powder-coated steel, the bold and colorful sculptures pay homage to DUMBO's manufacturing and industrial story.

Brooklyn Bridge Pedestrian Walkway
The Dumbo Improvement District unveiled an extensive public art project and upgrade to the Brooklyn Bridge Pedestrian Walkway as part of Mayor Bloomberg and Brooklyn Borough President Markowitz's five-day celebration in honor of the 125th birthday of the Brooklyn Bridge. The permanent improvements feature wayfinding signage and a public art lighting installation by Emphasis Design, Tillett Lighting Design and KT3D entitled "This Way."
