Music has always influenced my work, and i mostly listen to some live Grateful Dead, Ozric Tentacles, Jazz or Classical while working on a project. The improvisational aspect of the Dead just helps the ideas flow. I seem to prefer instrumental music, and have been making electronic music with garageband for about a year or so.
Terrapin station- The Grateful Dead
Dark Star- The Grateful Dead
Wharf Rat- The Grateful Dead
A Love Supreme- John Coltrane
Anything Mozart

thanks for the invite!

I often listen to albums in their entirety but sometimes create a mean playlist. My favorite artists to work to are:
- Animal Collective
- Black Dice
- Panda Bear
- El Guincho
- Black Moth Super Rainbow
- Talk Talk
- Atlas Sound/Deerhunter
- Holy F*ck
- Cinematic Orchestra
- Why?

and more recently African Dance Band International, DJ Cheb I Sabbah, Kronos Quartet

Music is crucial to my creative process and is often the source of my inspiration.

I usually steer clear of these music/art groups....Only because I don't learn anything new about anyone thru their music taste.

BUT since I do work out of my home studio music is always on... Recently I had a breakthrough on this mind numbing identity project with a little help from a Refused track entitled "Circle Pit" ...I've been a fan for a long time, But this particular afternoon I had a couple beers and bong hit in me...I pulled up the project on my computer, cranked the stereo and BAM BIP BOOM....I was on my way.

The results were sent out to the client and I have a phone conversation in a couple of hours with them!
Then this morning I got the invitation to join this group... hmmmmm wish me luck....and go get some Refused!
