Looking for Exhibition Space and working with others on community art projects during summer 2010

It's great idea...I'm interested in projects like this, and as far as serious participation it depends on how much attendance and cash output required to participate...?

Hi Marie

Its early days and I’m still in the London , returning to NY in July I hope. I’m just finding it difficult finding appropriate space and costs for exhibiting :( Prime located galleries as you could imagine are fully programmed until 2011/12 or the costs of renting good space is far too much for one, particularly during this recession. I’d like to work with several others and explore locations and share costs for renting space (could be an unused shop unit) in an around Brooklyn. Any ideas welcomed!

New Galleries don't have as many shows scheduled. I am a new gallery looking for new artists, and getting ideas for group shows. We are in a prime location in Brooklyn. We might rent out to the right group. Other rental options (not a lot of places are willing to participate) might be something like the BAG but that is not a prime location.

Magno, Happy to discuss with you your views either here or via private email. I've a project I'm working on in the UK but I have work I'd like to exhibit stateside. Its just determining a theme and working with suitable or willing artists.

Hey i would like to be apart of a group show, but would need some details. If we are running it the cost and facilitation needs are important, but i have tons of work ( and new current things ) i would like to showcase !

I like this idea too, I'm spending more of my time in Jersey now but I have transportation and a lot of artwork.

Guys and girls. Sorry to have been slient on this. Been fairly busy with things in London since the start of the year. Yes, I'm still keen to work and collaborate with others which includes sharing exhibition costs. Ideas for themes are welcomed. I think you've seen my work and although I'm not conventional in choosing who I exhibit with, some of your may be with me or my style. To the point, I'm happy to exhibit with anyone willing to exhibit with me and share the task of looking for space. I'm returning stateside in July. Realistically it may be a case of finding a space for the year end or early 2011. What do you think???????
