There is a new article in the French magazine L'Express (equivalent of the Times in the States) that I receive each week in California from Paris, France saying that French artists overall (painters in general) do not do as well in the United States because they do not handle marketing as well as their Anglo-Saxons counterparts, mainly in the US. I have to disagree to some extent because Alexandre Guilllaume is a good example of a French artist living in New York and doing well with his art.
