『Takeshi Sato- World of Roller Art … in NY』
We are pleased to extend you an exclusive announcement for Takeshi Sato`s “World of Roller Art in New York”.
The paint artist "Takeshi Sato" will hold his first solo exhibition in the “Holy Land” of contemporary art in New York. He has established a new genre of art with the use of only a "paint roller" in Japan and worldwide.
He decided to use only a paint roller to create art by the inspiration that was made in the U.S.
His pursuit for art that could be “expressed in a short period of time” led him to the theme of his style of “Roller Art”
When he was young he saw mural art in the U.S., this led him to dive into the world of mural art and his origins began in America
In contemporary arts holy land New York, the Artist will hold his first solo exhibition.
He would like to thank all American people through his art.
Thanks for giving him the chance to become an artist and he realized, during the 2011 earthquake, the magnitude of support from all over the world, as a Miyagi resident artist, especially the US Military involvement that established Sendai Airport and he now has a feeling of gratitude when performing overseas.
Combined the response from local media coverage for his performance at Japan day in May 2015, he will continue to show his heartfelt gratitude.
Between 7/28 and the 8/1 there will be exhibitions held at two galleries in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
He is planning projects to draw “huge mural works” where he was first inspired by mural art.
During this time the artist will perform Roller Art in the city of New York.
For this project, we raised over 2 million yen through the internet, exceeding his expectations, by the support from all involved in this project, we are able to make dreams come true.
The Artist and staff will do their utmost best in proving the best exhibition possible.
After stepping foot on the U.S. soil 17 years ago, Holding a solo exhibition in New York has been my long dream.
I would like to thank all those people who were involved and give thanks for those who supported me.
I have feelings mixed between anxiousness and excitement, but now I want to demonstrate to the world by my skill which has been developed in Japan.
I hope that I can show to as many people my appreciation and gratitude through Roller Art in New York.
I thank you and ask for your continual support in the future.
