Front Room Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition of new works by the artist, Melissa Pokorny. In this body of work, Pokorny incorporates photography into assemblage sculptures of found objects, re-made components of everyday life, metal armatures, glamorized with silver leaf and textiles.
Pokorny explores systems and collective actions, akin to speculative biomes, or psychological landscapes. This new work is derived from experiences and relationships, based on memories of place, material affinities, (un) natural phenomena, and the desires of things.
