Our creations are a way of tracking individual thought. Through visual probing with a sense of awe, we try to personally investigate and produce our interpretations of the convolution of existence we have experienced thus far. We attempt to bridge the gaps between memories, ideas, dreams, imagination, myths, and physical reality with a portrayal of out personal truths. This is an ongoing and ever evolving endeavor that strives to be focused and realized. In the process, specific aesthetics and techniques in tune with our own history, act as a medium to meld analytical thoughts and subconscious actions.
While taking different approaches visually, Daniel Krupin and David King, share a theme of investigating reality through the focused tunnel of the decay of authentic and structured surroundings. Daniel uses familiar suburban imagery with a surrealist twist to show that things are not as simple and pleasant as people would like to imagine. David has left behind conventional imagery and lets the canvas guide the viewer to one’s own thought on what is being represented. Both artists open a dialogue between common perceptions and the veiled decay of today’s society and the people caught within it.
