DESCRIPTION:Dear Artists,\nThe 440 Gallery is looking for a few member
 s for September 2009. The gallery was formed in\nJanuary of 2005 as an
  artist-run institution, and we are now looking to add a few new artis
 ts.\nThe fiscal and general responsibilities, along with the privilege
 s of membership are enumerated\nbelow. We are looking for truly talent
 ed individuals with a fresh artistic perspective, who are also\nteam p
 layers who work well within a cooperative setting. 440 Gallery is offe
 ring you the opportunity\nto be part of a dynamic artists’ initiativ
 e in the heart of Park Slope, Brooklyn.\n440 Gallery Cooperative Guide
 lines\nArtists Requirements:\n• $150 a month to be paid quarterly.\n
 • About 10-15 hours per month of work, including gallery sitting.\nâ
 €¢ The Co-op gallery will secure liability insurance. Artists must ins
 ure their own artwork.\n• 20% of all sales will go back into the gal
 lery.\n• Artists will share their mailing lists with the cooperative
 .\nArtist’s Benefits:\n• Main gallery space: To have one solo 5-we
 ek show every 18 months. (This allows a week\nturnover between shows)\
 n• To participate in one or two groups shows a year. These may be op
 en to non-members.\n• Member’s back space: A place to hang 1-3 fra
 med pieces permanently.\n• A place to have 5-10 matted pieces in a f
 lat file.\n• A place to have promotional materials permanently avail
 able.\n• All Co-op artists will have access to the Gallery mailing l
