SONYA (South of the Navy Yard Artists, Brooklyn, NY) is proud to be a Fiscal Sponsor for this Amazing Show Opening THURSDAY, AUGUST 5th

Co-curators Linn Edwards and Brian Bell are proud to announce the opening of Non-Native New York.

This exhibition features the cultural contributions of fifteen artists who have immigrated to the United States and made Brooklyn their current home. Non-Native New York celebrates the artwork that results when an artist is uprooted by moving to a new country, leaving behind a social support system, cultural commonality, and first language.

Opening reception: Thursday August 5, 2010, 6:00pm to 9:00pm
de Castellane Gallery

Gallery hours: Fridays 3pm-8pm, Saturdays 11am-7pm, Sundays 11am-7pm, or by appointment, through August 23rd.
