shunya nakamura
Born in Mie (Japan) in 1982.
He has educated himself and executed his works since 2003.
Besides the activity of execution, he began to work at a design office.
He dealt with a lot of graphic design works, mainly on editorial design.
And last year (2009) he decided to search for the possibility of "lineart" (which is his own style of drawing)
and organized the unit "Nia" with Mana Sakurai.
Nia’s first unit exhibition "Reproof in Monochrome" was held in November.
His style is not graffiti or Japanese classic style of drawing.
But the style is so unique and has you feel the indication of new movement which breaks
through the wall between fine art and the surroundings.
Straight and Curve, Black and White,
the simple and elaborate lines he drawn extract the essence of nature and social phenomena.
At present he offers his works to magazines and designs space of shops.
AIRI KIKUTA(VJ)
If you witness his work, you feel you would be absorbed into his line art world.
The monochromatic world which is composed of just lines,
it is too simple, but there are a lot of feelings and warmth.
The world seems be alive.
Soon you would want to know the secret of the world.
I think this addictive magic is the fascination of his works
MANA SAKURAI(Writer)
He repeats drawing, and his world is created.
The canvas is filled with drawing and there is the brilliant balance.
In the black-and-white world, one line is extremely simple and solitary.
The way can give his works dramatic tension and enable to exhibit themessage vividly.
And his work might make you think about the meaning of it unconsciously.
