Event Description

Join us free Thursday JUNE 3rd for BAP's May member exhibition and the continuation of our collaborative drawing sessions. As usual we'll have drink specials and tastings of New Italian/American cuisine at the bar, complements of Chef/Owner Paul Vicino.

This month we're proud to feature a range of exceptional member artists from various backgrounds and locations. Works include illustrations, paintings, mixed media and are available for purchase.

At every monthly exhibition, guests are given pens, paint markers and square pieces of illustration board, then encouraged to draw whatever comes to mind. After a few minutes, guests switch boards and add to each others work, creating a surreal collection of original artwork to be auctioned off for charity.

In 2009 10 events were held and over 50 pieces of art were created with an average of three artists contributing to each piece. In 2010 the pieces will be curated, exhibited in a Brooklyn show, then sold through online auction to raise funds for a range social causes.

The BAP Exhibition and Group Draw is proud to be a part of DUMBO's 1st Thursday Gallery Walk where Brooklyn's most artistic neighborhood comes alive on the first Thursday of each month. Enjoy free admission to exceptional galleries showing works from artists of many disciplines to receptions, live music performances, screenings and curator/artist talks among other good stuff.
