Event Description

Brooklyn, NY—Ouchi Gallery is pleased to announce the group exhibition “Home”. This exhibition features the works of eleven artists from varying unique backgrounds, each with their own story to tell.

The word “home” means something different to everyone. It could be the house you lived in as a child; the first apartment you rented on your own; the country your family emigrated from. Delving even deeper into this concept, ideas pertaining to sense of belonging, inclusion, and alienation begin to surface. A home does not always have to be a place of residence; it can also be somewhere you are accepted or somewhere you belong.

There are no boundaries surrounding the concept of home. This exhibit aims to explore the vast reaches that this simple word encompasses. Each of the eleven artists has their own personal perspective on the meaning of home, and they display their ideas and inspirations through various media and styles.

“Home” will be exhibited from Wednesday, July 22nd to Sunday, July 27th, and an opening reception will be held on Tuesday, July 21st from 7:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M.
