Environmental Themed Artshow
Gallery House presents a call for NYC based artists. During each hosted reception, one painting will be raffled off and the proceeds will go to a NYC based environmental organization that will be named in the future. The show will run from Feb 1st 2010 – Feb 28th 2010 and the receptions are on Wednesday, Feb 10th and Thursday, Feb 25. Artists are expected to attend and promote the event. Other than the receptions, Gallery House will be open by appointment through the exhibition dates. Artists should submit digital images of two dimensional\wall hanging works retailing for around $1,000 or less. All works must be finished and ready to hang. Frames are not necessary but if it is on canvas, it must be gallery wrapped. If it is on paper, it can not be loose. The artist will be responsible for delivery and pickup of artwork.

Gallery House is a New York City based, historical Brownstone dating back to 1877. We are dedicated to the sharing of ideas pressing our world today. Through our hosted reception, we aim to gather and communicate said ideas through art, music and other types of artistic expression.

• 6-10 Images (JPEG Format & aprox. 1 megabyte in size) of available works (file name should include title, dimensions and wholesale price)
• Artist Statement (300 words or less)
• Artist Resume

Gallery House will retain a 20% commission on all artwork sold during the duration of the show for operational costs.

Every precaution will be taken to assure that your work is handled with utmost care and respect throughout the run of the exhibition. However, it is the artist’s responsibility to carry insurance for any of their works in the exhibition. Gallery House will not be responsible for damage, theft or loss of any kind.

The artists selected will be responsible for all deliveries and pickup of art.
