phati'tude Literary Magazine is launching its 1ST ANNUAL AFRICAN AMERICAN LITERARY FESTIVAL at the Langston Hughes Community Library & Cultural Center in  Corona, New York, on Saturday, February 26, 2011 from 10:00am-4:00pm.

Sign up for free workshops in the morning at Eventbrite: The Key to Good Writing by Louis Reyes Rivera; Community Publishing by Ron Kavanaugh; and Writing for Young Readers is "Something Beautiful" by Sharon Dennis Wyeth.

Special guest is poet, teacher, activist Tara Betts, with performance by Urban Word NYC, film short DUST by poet Shane Book, panel discussion on African American literature with Gabrielle David, Louis Reyes Rivera, Sharon Dennis Wyeth, Reginald Harris and Ron Kavanaugh.
